OUR MISSION
The Redding Education Foundation is dedicated to mobilizing and enhancing educational opportunities at Redding’s public schools.
ABOUT THE REDDING EDUCATION FOUNDATION
Originally founded in 2002, the Redding Education Foundation (REF) has been reestablished in 2024 to enhance, foster, and support educational opportunities at Redding’s public school as a partner in the schools with teachers and administrators, the ER9 district, and the community. REF will carry out its mission through a multitude of initiatives, including investments in programs and resources and through grants, enabling REF to contribute above and beyond the constraints of the Town of Redding’s budget.
REF is a volunteer-driven non-profit organization led by experienced community members and leaders, and supported through generous donations and other funding sources. REF strives to research and identify new, emerging, and innovative trends in education and learning across a multitude of disciplines, and to allocate its funds where they will have the most value and impact. REF will focus on initiatives across three general categories and purposes: technology and innovation, arts and culture, and the general enhancement of educational and learning opportunities and practices.
